The family tries to adapt to new surroundings in the premiere of a series about a cheated-on wife of a country star who moves to California with her mom and kids and tries to restart her own singing career.

After Kim shows her a tabloid story about Bobby’s new romance, Reba reluctantly agrees to her first post-divorce blind date. Despite Kim’s interference, the presence of her meddling mother, and an untimely tiff between her kids, Reba discovers that she is ready to get back in the saddle.

Reba is thrilled when Geoffrey gets Mr. Bata to agree to have one of her songs recorded, but is insulted when he wants a rapper (Travie McCoy) to record it in her place; Lillie Mae discovers that she has a secret admirer; and Cash tries to tone down his southern accent in order to fit in with his school peers.

Reba is angered when ex-husband Bobby arrives for Cash's birthday and gives him a brand new sports car, knowing full well that Reba wanted their son to earn a car by working for it and not by entitlement. Meanwhile, Lillie Mae tries to calm down a scared Kim, who finally admits that she's pregnant with no clue how to raise a baby.

When Reba begins feeling threatened that her daughter is sharing more of her life with Kim than with her, she resorts to text spying and trying on teen fashions to get closer to June. Meanwhile, Lillie Mae teaches Cash how to be the man of the house.

Reba's attempts to gather intel on Bobby's past life from his ex-bandmate, Pete (Steven Weber), are foiled by his "bro code" but when Lillie Mae offers this recovering alcoholic some of her homemade beer, all bets are off. Meanwhile, Cash is grounded for sneaking out in the middle of the night to help his sister.
