Violet like the sea

Viola returns from Paris fashion world to Palermo where tries to find her father. She gets job as a crime reporter and is introduced to inspector Francesco Demir who puts her under investigation for killing a young woman.

Viola works with Demir on the case of attempted murder, but finds out that her gift of synaesthesia is not infallible. Tamara encourages Viola to ask for Demir's help with the investigation concerning her missing father.

A homicide case inspires Viola to question herself about prejudices and how they affect her perception of Demir. At the same time, she is trying to make her boss Claudia notice and appreciate her work.

Viola is invited to dinner by Raniero, a fascinating young man who might know how to find her missing father. The murder of a banker helps her understand something from her past. Meanwhile, Demir finds a mysterious young woman in the port.

Demir encourages Farah to open up about her past, while Viola is getting closer to Raniero. The mysterious death of an entrepreneur leads to a start of a difficult investigation.
