Episode 1
DING PANG made his way through the market place. He was in rags, perhaps so ill-looking that it invited trouble. Two bullies came over and asked where he was heading. DING told them about the duel with LAU in his Pine Hill Villa - the man who killed his father. They heard and laughed contemptuously because to them the case was an egg striking against a rock. But they were later forced to believe when DING justified his ability with the sword.
On his way to the villa, DING passed by a stream where he saw a woman with clothes half torn. She claimed herself as an orphan who had fallen into the hands of bullied and could hardy pulled out. She begged the man to go uphills and spot 'Black Rope' and 'Red Rope' for help. DING went, found the 2 old men but was humiliated.
When DING arrived at the villa, the master was out. The porter did not even let him in but said that the master would be back in a month. DING went off in despair……
